	Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a powerful technique for analysing customer requirements to help produce a better product.
QFD provides a structure for product planning & development and helps to ensure that a product meets the needs of the customer. It does this by using a number of matrices that form the 'House of Quality'.

	Performing a QFD is a team activity that helps communicate customer requirements throughout the organisation and encourages inter-departmental communication. The method can be used to evolve subjective customer needs into process specifications.
